Cabi Blogger Day

Back in April I had the privilege of attending cabi's first ever #cabiBloggerDay at their HQ's in Carson. I've worked with cabi in the past and love everything they stand for! They empower women by allowing them to be their own #GirlBoss and also give back through their foundation, The Heart of Cabi Foundation

I arrived at cabi bright and early and was greeted by a few cabi ladies and a glass of bubbly. After a few minutes of meeting and greeting one another, we were whisked away to their fabulous eat-in kitchen where we had a delicious breakfast and mingled before getting our day started.

The rest of the morning consisted of learning more about the company. We met a few members of the design team, including Becky and Katie, where we got a look into Spring and Summer pieces as well as a sneak-peek at the Fall collection (you're going to LOVE it).

Next up, we learned about the Heart of Cabi Foundation from Taylor. The essence of the foundation is to encourage and empower women in need. They do so through 3 different avenues;

1. We are cabi - Funding small business loans for women in developing countries
2. Make a Change Program - Round your order total to the nearest dollar and roll over the change to help fund a loan through Opportunity International
3. Heart of cabi Item - A portion of the net proceeds from the purchase of the cabi item will go to support the effors of the Heart of Cabi Foundation.

After a few fun hours it was time to eat, my favorite thing to do besides shop, of course. It was during this time that I met a few sweet bloggers and chatted about our fur babies and blogging.

We then went on to learn from cabi's creative director what goes into creating The Notion and Look Book every season. Trust me, it's a TEAM EFFORT. But the end result looks amazing, check them out for yourself.

One of the most exciting part of the day was getting to experience a cabi demonstration from one of the founders herself, Kim Carpenter. She walked us through the entire current collection and even gave us a few styling tips and tricks. Did you know you can tie a scarf into a vest/cover up? I was mind-blown! :O

cabi saved the best for last, after lunch we were scooped away into hair and make-up for a fun photo shoot featuring their most current pieces. I had a bit of a hard time finding something to style on my petite frame but with the help of the cabi girls we came up with a really great outfit that was flattering and fund to twirl in ;)

*Had so much fun shooting with the beautiful ladies, check out their blogs:

Thank you cabi for a fun filled day!
